Long-lasting connections and development opportunities

Our programmes for UK alumni help build long-lasting connections so people are able to build on their international experience. When you sign up to our Gulf-UK Alumni Network you will join a distinguished group of UK alumni from across the region including senior figures in government, business and civil society. As well as the opportunity to attend prestigious gala dinners and awards ceremonies you can also take advantage of professional development courses, leadership training and many other events.

You are eligible to apply if: 

  • you are Bahraini or resident in Bahrain 
  • studied a UK qualification through a UK institutions

By becoming a member, alumni also help shape the future by inspiring the next generation.  Explore ideas on Smart Sustainable Urbanism from an architecture and urban design/ planning perspective.

Speaker: Dr Fay Al Khalifa

University of Sheffield alumnae, Dr Al Khalifa is an assistant professor with a Master's degree in Conservation and Regeneration and a Ph.D. in Landscape, which is focused on the interrelationship between Culture Change and Urban Sustainability, particularly in teh Arabian Gulf Context.

Following a nomination and selection process, the current Board was formed in September 2017. We are delighted to introduce our dynamic and diverse board, helping us run and deliver our Alumni programme in Bahrain.
