Long-lasting connections and development opportunities

Our programmes for UK alumni help build long-lasting connections so people are able to build on their international experience. When you sign up to our Gulf-UK Alumni Network you will join a distinguished group of UK alumni from across the region including senior figures in government, business and civil society. As well as the opportunity to attend prestigious gala dinners and awards ceremonies you can also take advantage of professional development courses, leadership training and many other events.

You are eligible to apply if: 

  • you are Bahraini or resident in Bahrain 
  • studied a UK qualification through a UK institutions

By becoming a member, alumni also help shape the future by inspiring the next generation. Alumni are invited to share their stories and experiences with students at study fairs and other education events organised by the British Council and partners. Alumni Talk Series: Climate Change: Where do we go from here?

In this panel discussion, our distinguished speakers discuss where Bahrain stands now, and what the innovative approaches to help us reach our 2035 targets are, shedding light on the main challenges to climate change in Bahrain, such as Greenhouse emissions, and what individuals can do to be part of this change alongside national institutions.
