Our refund policy
- Cancelling before the closing date: If you give us written notice of your intention to withdraw from the exam before the registration deadline, you will receive a 75% refund of the total fee paid (25% of the total fee will be deducted as an administrative charges).
- Cancelling between closing date and late closing date: The British Council will only refund 25% of the total fee paid.
- All refund requests must be submitted on the Refund Request Form. School candidates must submit applications via their School; Private candidates should contact British Council Customer Services.
- There will be no refund for partial subject entry withdrawals. The British Council local fee is non transferrable from one exam session to another.
Withdrawal during the late entry period
If you give us written notice of your intention to withdraw from the exam during the late entry period, you will not normally receive a refund.
The exception is that we may issue a refund on medical grounds, but this is at the exam board's discretion.
