The latest group of newly-qualified English teachers graduated from the British Council Bahrain's CELTA course this month.
12 teachers from Bahrain and across the world passed the Certificate of English Language Teaching to Adults course, which ran from January 10th – February 4th at the centre in Manama.
Local course tutor Paul Robinson said "The CELTA is a very intense four-week course but it is a real pleasure to help people from across the globe to fulfil their dreams of becoming English teachers. Teaching English is not about being a native speaker but having a good level of language proficiency and a great passion for sharing knowledge with your students."
The British Council Bahrain is the first educational institute in the Kingdom to open its doors to tomorrow's teachers and offer the Cambridge University approved course. The next one will be in May/June and applications for that course are welcomed through our CELTA page.
